Published: Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013 11:14 a.m. CDT

Local nonprofit DuPagePads will be one of 13 partners in DuPage County that will help raise awareness and enroll residents in the Illinois Health Insurance Marketplace when Affordable Care Act enrollment begins later this year, according to a news release from the nonprofit.

DuPagePads received a $50,000 grant from the DuPage County Health Department to aid residents with live in-person assistance as residents apply for and choose new coverage options as part of the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare.

Enrollment for marketplaces across the country begins on Oct. 1. Coverage will begin Jan. 1, 2014.
