Lisle-based Molex sold for more than $7 billion
LISLE – A global electronic components company based in Lisle was recently sold for $7.2 billion.
On Monday, Molex Inc. announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Koch Industries, Inc., a privately held manufacturing, trading and investments corporation.
Molex is now a standalone subsidiary of Koch Industries and will continue to be operated by the company's current management team. Molex will retain the company name as well as its Lisle-based headquarters following the transaction, according to a release.
