COUNTRYSIDE – The Cook County Farm Bureau announced that it has relaunched the website localfarmproducts.org.

The relaunch was led by the Bureau’s Commodities and Marketing team and can be used by consumers to find local farm product marketers.

Users can find everything “farm” from fresh food to hay to local honey producers by using the site. The renewed site also offers information about area farmers markets, recipes, videos and more.

A new events calendar for farm and agricultural related activities also is included, which farmers and farm groups may wish to promote to the public.

According to a news release, with nearly 5 million consumers residing in the Cook County area, farmers, greenhouse growers and other related industries are “poised to provide the freshest and finest products and services for local friends, families and neighbors within the Midwest community.”
