Conroy, Villa Park police to present safe driving seminar to seniors

VILLA PARK – The quarterly meeting of SALT, Seniors and Law Enforcement Together, an organization run by the Villa Park Police Department, is scheduled for Sept. 18 and will feature a presentation about new and pending changes to Illinois transportation laws.

State Rep. Deb Conroy, D-Villa Park, has arranged for Natalie Kahn of the Illinois Secretary of State's office to present an Illinois Rules of the Road seminar to educate seniors about new and proposed traffic laws.

The meeting will begin at 11 a.m. Sept. 18 at the Wildwood Community Center, 320 E. Wildwood Ave., but attendees are invited to arrive at 10:30 a.m. for coffee and pastries before the presentation. The Villa Park Senior Concerns Commission will be sponsoring a lunch for all guests after the traffic seminar.

Any questions about the Sept. 18 meeting or about SALT can contact Sgt. Tyson Johnson of the Villa Park Police Department at 630-834-7447.
