HINSDALE – The Community House, 415 West Eighth St., will host several programs this fall.
• Chicago Bulls Basketball Camp will meet from 5 to 6 p.m. Sept. 17 through Oct. 8 for ages 5-8, and again from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 17 through Oct. 8 for ages 9-14. This camp will teach the latest techniques in ball handling, passing, shooting and rebounding.
• Ball Handling Camp will meet from 5 to 6 p.m. Sept. 16 through Oct. 17 for ages 5-8, and again from 6 to 7 p.m. Sept. 16 through Oct. 7 for ages 9-14. This camp will teach the latest techniques to help improve a player’s basketball handling, hand-eye coordination and shooting/lay-ups off the dribble.
• Windy City Fencing will offer training in epee, one of the weapons of modern fencing and the weapon used in the modern pentathlon. This class allows youth fencers to participate, progress and compete at their pace. Class meets from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. Sept. 18 through Nov. 6 for ages eight and up and again from 4:45 to 6 p.m. Sept. 18 through Nov. 6 for ages eight and up.
• Registration is currently taking place for the Jodie Harrison Junior Basketball League. This five-game (eight-practice) league introduces children to basketball while emphasizing learning the rules and fundamentals. The league is for first graders and practice begins the week of Oct. 21. Games begin Nov. 9.
