Coupon book sale to benefit Humanitarian Service Project

CAROL STREAM – Carol Stream nonprofit the Humanitarian Service Project is selling coupon books to raise funds for its Senior Citizen Project, according to a news release from the organization.

The coupons are valid through October 2014, the release said. The cost of the book is $25. The book includes two-for-one and 50 percent savings on food, shopping and travel.

Profits from the sale go toward providing healthy food for 122 senior citizens living in poverty, according to the release. Senior Citizen Project participants receive 100 pounds of groceries each month, including fresh fruit and vegetables and frozen meat, which are delivered to the seniors.
