Published: Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 2:26 p.m. CDT

With Week 2 of the high school football season set to kick off tonight, Hinsdale Central and Hinsdale South are both searching for their first wins of the season as each plays in a West Suburban Conference crossover game.

Addison Trail at Hinsdale Central

7:30 p.m. Friday

Where: 55th and Grant streets, Hinsdale

Records: AT 0-1; Hindale Central 0-1

Outlook: The Red Devils offense struggled to get going in a 17-6 Week 1 loss to Bolingbrook, but this could be the chance for quarterback Chase Hamilton and running backs Ben Stefani and Juwan Edmund to get the motor going. Addison Tail surrendered 518 yards of offense to Glenbard South in a 39-21 defeat last week. This West Suburban Conference crossover game could also give standout receiver Ian Bunting a chance to get more involved in the offense.

Hinsdale South at Downers Grove North

7:30 p.m. Friday

Where: 4436 Main St., Downers Grove

Records: Hinsdale South 0-1; DGN 1-0

Outlook: In the season opener against Romeoville, the Hornets fell behind 20-0 and battled back to take a lead only to eventually lose the game. Quarterback Jake Czajkowski and the Hornets will be hungry for their first win.

On the other end of the spectrum, the Trojans lashed Lockport 45-0 with several stars shining on offense. South coach Mike Barry is expecting a battle in this Week 2 West Suburban Conference crossover game. "Downers Grove North comes right at you," the coach said. "They're a real physical team."
