Bolingbrook police to host prescription drug disposal program in October

BOLINGBROOK – The Bolingbrook Police Department will hold a "Take-Back Initiative" on Oct. 26, allowing residents a safe way to dispose prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medication.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 26, residents can stop by the Bolingbrook Police Department, 375 W. Briarcliff Road, and safely discard any prescription medication. Local officers will also be on hand to inform residents about the dangers and potential of prescription medication abuse.

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is a partnership between the DEA and state and local law enforcement aimed at providing a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs.

For more information, call the Bolingbrook Police Department at 630-226-8600.
