Riverside police seek public's help in identifying woman found on Harlem Avenue

Police are attempting to identify and find the family of a woman found in the 3400 block of Harlem Avenue at 1 a.m. Wednesday. Police said she gave her name as Dorothy Thompson, but could not provide any other information.

RIVERSIDE – The Riverside Police Department announced today that they are seeking the public's help in identifying an older woman police came into contact with in the 3400 block of South Harlem Avenue at 1:17 a.m.

According to police, the woman gave her name as Dorothy Thompson, but could not provide police with any other information. Police said she was confused and did not know where she was.

The woman was described as between 60 and 90 years old, and was wearing a black jacket, pink nightgown, grey sweat pants and sandals.

Police said they took her to MacNeal Hospital for evaluation and are trying to reunite her with her family.
