New teacher joins staff at the Clarendon Hills Park District

CLARENDON HILLS – Willowbrook resident Kathleen Ericksen has joined the staff of the Clarendon Hills Park District as the new preschool teacher in both the 3-year-old and 4-year-old programs. 

In addition, Ericksen will be teaching the "Mad Scientists" class for young children on Tuesday afternoons and the Parent-Tot "Make A Masterpiece" program on Tuesday mornings.

Ericksen is a graduate of Columbia College of Missouri and most recently spent six years as a preschool teacher at the Children of Peace School in Chicago. While working at the Children of Peace School, she also spent an additional year working with children that were hearing impaired, refining and developing her skills in American Sign Language.

The preschool program at the park district begins for the fall session on Sept. 11 at the Community Center, 315 Chicago Ave.
