LOMBARD – The local synagogue Congregation Etz Chaim, 1710 S. Highland Ave. in Lombard will hold its first High Holiday Hustle, a 5K run and walk, or a 1-mile family stroll. This event coincides with the the high holidays of the Jewish faith, which begin with Rosh Hashanah, celebrated at sundown Wednesday, and end with Yom Kippur, which is celebrated beginning at sundown Sept. 13.

The walk and run event will begin at 9 a.m. at Congregation Etz Chaim, and more than 200 people are expected to attend.
