HINSDALE – Sen. Kirk Dillard, Republican gubernatorial candidate, has chosen Rep. Jil Tracy as his running mate for the upcoming election.
Dillard, R-Hinsdale, announced his lieutenant governor Monday with a video message on Instagram.
Tracy first took office in 2006 and was recently appointed as one of the 10 House and Senate members to serve on the Conference Committee On Pension Reform.
Tracy worked as a private attorney and as an assistant attorney general and director of the West Central Regional Office. She was a founding board member of the Brown County United Way and served on the Mt. Sterling Park District for more than 13 years, according to her website.
She currently serves on the John Wood Community College Foundation Board, the Make a Wish Regional Council and the Quincy Branch Alzheimer Association Advisory Board, according to her website.
