ADDISON – A team of Addison Trail staff members won the village of Addison Sister Cities Golf Adventure last month.

Guidance counselor Shane Cole, Assistant Principal Doug Wildes and world languages teacher Judie Vitiritti-Lynch won the Mayor’s Cup trophy.

The nine-hole golf outing at Links & Tees Golf Facility in Addison raised about $1,500 toward scholarships for students who want to participate in the Sister Cities program. Addison is paired with Triggiano, Italy through the program, and the Addison Sister City committee continues to raise funds for Addison Trail students to travel to Italy. This year, each student in the program will receive scholarship money.

Through that program, Addison will host about 16 students, the Mayor and other guests from Triggiano in October. In March, about 16 Addison Trail students will travel to Triggiano, Rome, Florence and Venice as part of the exchange program. This is the second year Addison Trail students will participate.
