WEST CHICAGO – West Chicago recently welcomed a new, state-of-the-art healthcare facility to the Mosaic Crossing Shopping Center, according to a news release from the city of West Chicago.

A former drive-up bank building at 1865 N. Neltnor Blvd. has been renovated to become Access Urgent Care and Vein Clinic, an immediate care facility that is expected to provide community members with a less expensive alternative to an emergency room, the release said.

“The city of West Chicago is delighted that the vacant bank building has been meticulously repurposed into a modern and convenient healthcare facility for our residents, and we welcome Access Urgent Care and Vein Clinic to our community as a local business partner,” Mayor Ruben Pineda said in the release.

The facility is staffed by board-certified physicians Vaseemudin Mohammad, Fazal Mohammad and Waji Mohammed.

Access Urgent Care will use triage technology that alerts staff to symptoms most in need of urgent care through a digital check-in process, according to the release.

The physicians’ goal is to see patients within 30 minutes of arrival. The facility, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. year-round, accepts walk-in and scheduled patients, the release said.

The facility can treat fractures, complex lacerations, sports injuries, work-related injuries and adult and pediatric illnesses, according to the release. Physicians also will offer drug screenings and work and school physicals.

The Vein Clinic associated with the urgent care facility will provide procedures for common vein conditions, such as varicose, reticular and spider veins.
