Downers Grove's garbage amnesty day, recycling extravaganza set for end of September

DOWNERS GROVE – The village's annual garbage Amnesty Day is scheduled for residents' regularly scheduled pick-up day the week of Sept. 30.

This is a one-time pick up which cannot be rescheduled if missed, according to the village.

This year's Recycling Extravaganza is Sept. 28 at the Public Works Facility, 5101 Walnut Ave.

Vehicles must be in line at the extravaganza by 1 p.m. to be served.
