Abbate: Township's electrical aggregation program moves forward
The unincorporated residents and small business owners of Downers Grove Township will soon have the opportunity to weigh-in regarding the township’s electrical aggregation program.
Two public meetings will be held to raise questions and concerns about the program. The first was held Aug. 29, while the second will be held Thursday, Sept. 12 at the Chinese Christian Mandarin Church, 9S565 Clarendon Hills Road in Willowbrook at 7 p.m.
Residents approved a binding proposition on the April 9 ballot that authorized the township to pool or aggregate unincorporated residential and small commercial electricity accounts and to negotiate a lower price for the electricity supply.
