State Rep. McAsey hosts property tax bill seminar Thursday in Bolingbrook

BOLINGBROOK – State Rep. Emily McAsey will lead a presentation about property tax bills beginning 6 p.m. Thursday at the Fountaindale Public Library.

McAsey, a Democrat representing the 85th District, and a member from the Will County Supervisor of Assessments Office will help residents gain a better understanding of how individual property tax is computed and what programs may be available to help lower financial burden.

Some of the key points presenters will talk about are: Senior Citizens’ Assessment Freeze, General Homestead Exemption, Disabled Veterans’ Homestead Exemption and Disabled Persons’ Exemption.
