Published: Friday, Aug. 30, 2013 12:46 p.m. CDT

GLEN ELLYN – Glenbard High School District 87 is looking for businesses to participate in the district's Cooperative Education program, which allows students to earn credit and income as they work during the school year.

The district's Business Education Council will host a Cooperative Education Student Job Fair Sept. 26 at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn.

Employers interested in being part of the job fair should contact Laura Cebula at 630-420-5501 or lcebula@jachicago.org.

The deadline for businesses to sign up is Sept. 4.

The fair will be held from 8 a.m. until noon in the Student Resources Center at COD. Employers must be present for at least one hour during that time in order to participate.

During the job fair, students will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from the businesses at which they are interested in working. The fair will allow for short meet-and-greets between students and businesses. These initial meetings will be followed by more substantive interviews.

Follow up interviews should be scheduled as soon as possible.

For more information on the Business Education Council, contact Community Relations Coordinator Peg Mannion at 942-7657 or peg_mannion@glenbard.org.
