BOLINGBROOK – The Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce Minority Business Exchange (MBE) will begin a slate of programs that focus on financial viability Wednesday evening.

From 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Fountaindale Public Library Meeting Room A, chamber and MBE staff will host presentation from ACCION Chicago, a micro lender dedicated to providing financing and education to small businesses.

ACCION Chicago offer loans of up to $20,000 for start-up businesses and $50,000 for established businesses. They also offer Credit Builder loans between $500 and $2,500.

"The MBE is excited to welcome ACCION representatives who will speak about current and prospective business owners right here in our backyard," said MBE Program Coordinator Toni Greathouse. "The program is timely, addressing a problem many businesses have faced in the wake of the financial crisis."

The Wednesday presentation is free and all are welcome to attend.

The minority business exchange was established in 2012 by the Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce in order to raise visibility for businesses owned by minorities. The MBE also offers support and hosts classes and programs which help increase the businesses' viability.
