CICERO – A Cicero woman was robbed in her home after being confronted on the street in the 1800 block of South Central Avenue by a man and woman Wednesday, police reported Monday.

The victim told police she was approached by a woman and a man together. The woman told the victim that she wanted all the valuables in her purse and her house. The victim attempted to walk away, but the woman told her that the man with her was armed. Because the victim saw no one on the street to call for help, she took the female to her residence where she handed over an assortment of gold jewelry and $130 in cash.

The victim said she didn't contact police at the time of the robbery because she was in fear for her safety.

While the victim was told the man who approached her was armed, a weapon was never seen during the robbery.

The female offender was described as Hispanic, 5 foot 3 inches, 150 pounds, with long, black hair wearing a black "business suit."

The male offender was described as black, 6-feet-tall, 180 pounds, dark complexion wearing a red shirt and dark sweat pants.
