Guest historian to visit DuPage County folk art exhibit

WHEATON – The DuPage County Historical Museum will host a guest historian for its "Early Illinois Folk Art 1825-1925" exhibit, according to a museum news release.

T. Lindsay Baker, who has a doctorate from Texas Tech University, will present on the historical importance of windmill weights from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 13. The weights were integral to the opening of the western United States to settlement, according to the release. The event will be catered by Ivy in Wheaton and price of admission includes beer and wine.
