WHEATON – A new e-book is hitting the digital shelves thanks to a collaboration between the Foreign Policy Research Institute and Wheaton's First Division Museum at Cantigny Park, according to a museum news release.

"American Military History: A Resource for Teachers and Students" is now available online at the Foreign Policy Research Institute's website. The e-book contains material about American military history presented at seven history weekends for high school teachers held at the museum since 2006 and includes 29 essays on the subject, according to the release.

The goal of the essays and e-book is for all Americans to know more about their role in the common defense of the country and to understand how the U.S. military has helped shape the country's history.

The free e-book is available online at www.fpri.org
