DuPage County Sheriff: Man and boy scamming Lisle residents
LISLE – The DuPage County Sheriff's Office issued an advisory Tuesday warning residents of two suspects who recently scammed a senior victim.
At about noon Tuesday in unincorporated Lisle, a senior resident was outside when the victim was approached by an man and a boy, according to DuPage County Sheriff John E. Zaruba.
The man, approximately 45 years old, began distracting the victim by asking questions, while the boy, approximately 10 years old, went into the garage and stole the victim’s purse, Zaruba said.
The suspect was driving a white sedan and left in an unknown direction, according to reports.
“I hope that everyone will warn their friends and neighbors about these methods individuals are using to victimize citizens,” Zaruba said. “Call 911 if you see any suspicious activity or vehicles in your neighborhood.”
