DOWNERS GROVE – The Grove Foundation announced its 2013 plan on Tuesday to award grant funding to local organizations and programs that benefit Downers Grove residents.
“We believe that there are many outstanding, deserving, and eligible programs and events in Downers Grove that would benefit from a Grove Foundation Grant,” Grove Foundation President Lois Kopis said in a statement. “Our community has generously supported the Foundation for over 20 years. This is the second year of our new grant program. We hope to sustain worthwhile programs with our support.”
The goal of the grant program is to support efforts that are "unique, self-sustaining and/or serve diverse populations," according to a press release.
In order to be considered, projects must benefit Downers Grove residents. The deadline for submittal is Oct. 1. Eligible groups will be notified by Dec. 1 and grants will be distributed Dec. 15.
