Published: Monday, Aug. 19, 2013 11:59 a.m. CST

OAK BROOK – The Oak Brook Police Department will be out in force as part of the annual Illinois Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over crackdown now through Labor Day.

Oak Brook Police will be looking for drunk drivers as well as seat belt law violators during the campaign, according to a news release.

About one-third of all motor vehicle traffic deaths involve one or more drunk drivers or motorcycle operators, and holidays such as Labor Day are particularly dangerous, according to the release.
