Hillside police to crack down on drunk drivers

HILLSIDE – Hillside Police will crack down on drunk divers as part of Illinois' annual Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement from Aug. 16 through Labor Day.

Police Chief Joseph Lukaszek said enforcement efforts such as Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over can reduce drunk driving fatalities by as much as 20 percent. 

The special enforcement is funded by federal traffic safety funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
