Board approves contract with village manager search company

LOMBARD – Lombard's Board of Trustees passed a resolution Thursday night authorizing a contract with a Deerfield-based, recruitment services company to find a new village manager, following current village manager Dave Hulseberg's retirement.

The approved contract with Voorhees Associates, LLC is $16,400, and the company will be responsible for posting a job announcement for the vacancy, reviewing applicants, conducting phone interviews and facilitating in-person interviews.

Also at Thursday's meeting Village President Keith Giagnorio announced that the village's finance director, Tim Sexton, will begin serving as acting village manager at the board's next, regularly-scheduled meeting on Sept. 5.

"All of us would like to thank Dave Hulseberg for his dedicated service to our great village," Giagnorio said. "Dave, I personally want to thank you for everything you've done for the village."
