Woodridge Library donates money to local food pantry after successful reading programs

WOODRIDGE – This year's summer reading programs have officially ended at the Woodridge Public Library.

A total of 1,084 readers registered for Dig Into Reading, the children's program, spending about 793,555 minutes reading. The kids donated tokens, worth 5 cents, to West Suburban Community Pantry after completing their reading coupons. The group dontated a total of 4,792 tokens which amounts to $239.60.

The library also hosted reading programs 144 teens and 133 adults. The library is located at 3 Plaza Drive, and can be reached at 630-964-7899.
