Two Wheaton students win Chick-fil-A scholarships

WHEATON – Two Wheaton students have been selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship from Chick-fil-A, according to a news release from the restaurant chain.

Jessica Demlow and Rachel Downing were given the Leadership Scholarship after working for the chain for nearly three years, according to the release. Demlow graduated from Glenbard South High School and attends Bradley University, where she is pursuing a degree in nursing. Downing graduated from Wheaton Warrenville South High School and is interested in either sociology or social work. She attends the College of DuPage.

The Leadership Scholarship Program began in 1973, and has since given nearly $30 million to more than 30,000 employees, according to the release.
