STICKNEY – The young men in Boy Scout Troop 337 of Forest View and Stickney are troopers in every sense of the word.

During the week of July 21 at Camp Mach-Kin-O-Siew in Elcho, Wis., the troop won the coveted Summer Camp Cup for its skill in such competitions as rifle shooting, archery, swimming and other Scout skills.

The troop attended the camp along with seven other troops from the Chicago suburbs.

Troop members include Robert Rigler, of Lemont; Matt Jahiri, of Stickney; Matt Harper, of Berwyn; Dominic Biondolillo, of Stickney; Shane Miller, of Forest View; and Zach Frana, of Hodgkins.

Troop 337 was the smallest troop participating in the competition, with a compliment of only eight Scouts, Scoutmaster Rob Harper said.

The troop has been attending camp at "Camp Mack" for at least 50 years.

Harper praised the troop's members for their perseverance and bringing home the cup.

"They had great teamwork and were very proud of themselves, as I am very proud of them. They had a great time," Harper said.
