DuPage County Jail reaccredited by American Correctional Association

Published: Friday, Aug. 16, 2013 2:13 p.m. CST

The DuPage Correctional Facility was again accredited by the American Correctional Association last weekend, according to a news release from the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.

The jail achieved reaccreditation after a team of three assessors from the association assessed its policy and procedures, management, operations and support services, the release said. The team indicated that the Sheriff's Office was 100 percent compliant with mandatory and non-mandatory standards.

The release said that agencies must renew their accreditation every three years, submitting annual reports to the association for compliance. The DuPage County Jail has been accredited since 1986.
