Bike safety for all ages in Carol Stream

A Carol Stream police officer helps a young cyclist stay safe by fitting his helmet during the Carol Stream Police Department's recent bike path safety event Aug. 3 on the bike path at Lies and Kuhn roads. The department's Traffic Safety Unit spent the day educating bikers and pedestrians about traffic laws. During the event, the officers registered 46 bicycles with the department and distributed 21 helmets.
