LISLE – After three seasons as the girls basketball coach at Lisle High School, Dan Murray has left to take over the program at Marian Catholic.

The Lions went 61-27 under Murray, which included a 23-6 mark this past winter.

He will inherit a Spartans' team that won the IHSA Class 4A state championship last season. Marian Catholic also finished third in 2007, fourth in 2004 and second in 2002. All in all, the program has made six appearances at the state tournament since 2002.

Murray takes over for Annie Byrne, who resigned recently in order to become the director of operations at Legends Sportsplex in Bourbonnais.

He will work in the physical education department.
