Man repeatedly approaches teenage girl

The DuPage County Sheriff's Office is investigating a report of an incident involving a man who approached a teenage girl who was walking by the DuPage County Fairgrounds, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.

The teen was approached by an unknown man at approximately 10:30 p.m. on July 28, while walking on the pedestrian bridge crossing the railroad tracks into the Motorcycle Hill subdivision in unincorporated Wheaton. According to the release, the man attempted to ask for directions. The teen kept walking, but the man continued to follow her. The suspect then approached the girl again before she ran away and called for help.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 30-years-old, with a medium accent. He was reportedly wearing a black t-shirt. Anyone with information about the man is encouraged to contact the DuPage County Sheriff's Office at 630-407-2400.
