18U DuPage Diamond Dawgs softball takes third at national tournament

The 18U DuPage Diamond Dawgs went 6-3 to capture third place at the ASA 18U "A" Northern Nationals this past weekend in Bloomington, Indiana.

The Dawgs ended the 2013 season with a 21-16 record. They captured the tournament championship in the Knockouts ASA Qualifier in June and qualified for the Super 64 in the Colorado Sparkler College Showcase in July. 

The Dawgs roster is made up of local high school and college bound players:

Maria Kieliszewski - IC Catholic Jessica Conenna - IC Catholic Gabby Curran - IC Catholic Katelyn Conenna - Indiana University, IC Catholic grad Taylor Pankau - York Kristina Shahan - Plainfield Central, will play softball at Olivete Nazarene this season Brittany Delao - Streamwood, will play softball at Elgin Community College this season Gina Mastrodomenico - St. Viator Mallory Mecklenburg - South Elgin Rachel Odolski - Bartlett, will play softball at Cardinal Stritch this season Jessica Kirby - Bartlett, will play softball at Carthage College this season Danielle Kirby - Bartlett
