Elmhurst residents win ECNL soccer titles

In July, York students Madison Navarro and Cassidy Privett won two national club soccer titles.

The pair plays for the U15 Eclipse Select Soccer Club, based in Oak Brook. Eclipse won the Elite Club National League Finals held from July 10-15 in Richmond, Va. Two weeks later the team won again at the United States Youth Soccer Association National Finals in Overland Park, Kan., to become the first team to win both titles.

Navarro, a junior, and Privett, a sophomore, also won the State Cup this summer.

In the USYSA finals, the team went 2-0-1 in pool play and beat Ambassadors FC from Ohio in the final, 4-1 in overtime.
