West Chicago, Carol Stream men charged with identity theft

Two men have been charged with identity theft after allegedly making several purchases with stolen credit cards, according to a DuPage County Sheriff's Office news release.

Michael Bicchinella, 20, of the 29W300 block of Lee Road, West Chicago, has been charged with one count of identity theft, a class four felony, and one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest, according to the release.

Michael Nonnie, 24, of the 800 block of Dugout Trail, Carol Stream, was charged with one felony count of identity theft, according to the release.

DuPage County deputies responded to reports of a motor vehicle burglary on July 26 in unincorporated DuPage County near West Chicago. Investigators determined credit cards were stolen from a wallet in the vehicle, according to the release.

It is alleged Nonnie and Bicchinella stole the credit cards and used them to make multiple purchases, exceeding $600, according to the release.

Both men are currently being held in the DuPage County Jail. Bond was set at $20,000 for Bicchinella and $30,000 for Nonnie, according to the release.
