DOWNERS GROVE – The Downers Grove Transportation and Parking Commission will meet Wednesday to discuss traffic issues in the neighborhood bounded by Ogden Avenue to the north, Main Street to the east, Warren Avenue to the south and Lee Avenue to the west.

The commission will discuss data gathered from a study to generate recommendations that will look to improve intersection controls, address parking and access needs and minimize the potential for accidents, according to the village.

The commission will also consider responses received from residents.

The contractor for the project is KLOA, Inc. of Rosemont. Data collected and analysis includes temporary electronic traffic counters as well as manual pedestrian and vehicular counts at intersections, roadway measurements, intersection layouts and parking data.

The meeting is at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Village Hall. It is open to the public.
