DOWNERS GROVE – The Downers Grove Liquor Commission recommended new licenses Thursday for a wine boutique planned for 75th Street and a grocery store planned for 63rd Street in Downers Grove.
Cellar 406, the wine boutique planned for 406 75th St., would both serve wine on the premises and sell packaged wine, according to liquor commission documents. Cellar 406 would also pair cheese and cured meat plates with wine.
The liquor commission also recommended granting a license to sell packaged liquor at Familia Fresh Market, a grocery store planned for 2065 W. 63rd St. An employee at the store said it hopes to open in two to three weeks.
Liquor Commissioner and Mayor Martin Tully makes the final determination following the liquor commission's recommendations.
The commission also recommended approving a request by Game Pazzo, 2011 63rd St., to change its floor plan.
