LA GRANGE – Dog-owners have always been able to dine with their furry friends on the patio at prasino in downtown La Grange.

Now, the pet-friendly restaurant is going a step further. As part of its Puppy Love fundraiser, prasino will donate 10 percent of every check of customers who dine with their dogs on the patio to PAWS Chicago, the city's largest no-kill humane organization.

The restaurant will make donations for customers who visit between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday through the end of the patio season.

"I absolutely love and adore animals, especially dogs," said Peggy Maglaris-Kopley, prasino co-founder and general manager. "I just think that whatever opportunity you have to have your best buddy with you, take advantage of that opportunity."

The restaurant already caters to its customers' pets, offering water bowls and organic dog food.
