The DuPage Birding Club will continue leading bird walks around the county during August, including stops in Wheaton, Batavia and Glen Ellyn, according to a club news release.

The first stop is 7:30 a.m. Aug. 10 at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, as part of its monthly bird walk. Parking fees will be waived for those in attendance, and hopeful birders should enter through the main gate on Winfield Road.

At 6 p.m. Aug. 15, residents are encouraged to bring food for a picnic dinner at Fermilab in Batavia. The picnic and birding begins at the red barn on the property.

Two days later, at 7:30 a.m. birders can visit the Pratts Wayne Forest Preserve in Wayne.

Stops in Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Warrenville and Kankakee County will round out the month. For a full schedule of events and for more information, visit dupagebirding.com
