Unknown man sexually assaults sleeping woman in Warrenville

WARRENVILLE – Warrenville police are seeking information about a man who entered a woman's home and sexually assaulted her in the early morning hours of July 30.

The incident occurred at about 3 a.m. in the 500 block of Country Ridge Drive, according to Warrenville Police Department Deputy Chief Dave Schar.

The offender entered the residence through an unlocked patio door and assaulted the woman, who was home alone, while she slept, Schar said.

The woman was transported to an area hospital and received treatment for minor injuries sustained during the assault, according to Schar.

Police request that anyone with information about the incident call 630-393-2131 and ask to speak with Det. Dawson.
