VILLA PARK – Residents and community members will travel along the three bike trails that cross through the village on Saturday morning to participate in the fifth annual Villa Park Community Bike Ride.

The event begins at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Ruggard Gazebo at Ardmore Avenue and Central Boulevard. Participants are riding in 10-, 2.4- and 1.4-mile routes that travel along the Illinois Prairie Path, Great Western Trail and Salt Creek Trail.

Anyone interesting in riding who is still unregistered should come to the event early for on-site registration, which will be taken on a limited basis.

The ride is free and will include refreshments for all participants. Bike helmets must be worn by children 12-years-old and younger, but are encouraged for everyone.
