DOWNERS GROVE – The village of Downers Grove and Creative Recycling will offer electronics recycling from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

The service is offered the first Saturday of each month.

The drop-off location is at Village Hall, 801 Burlington Ave., in the employee parking lot at the rear of the building, off Curtiss St. Because the site is staffed by community volunteers, gates will be opened at 9 a.m. and closed promptly at noon, according to the village.

The village offers electronic recycling because of the state law effective last year barring TVs, computers, monitors, printers, computer peripherals, VCRs, DVD players, gaming systems, MP3 players and other electronic items from Illinois landfills.
