$3.8M FEMA grant to aid Bartlett flood prevention

BARTLETT – A FEMA grant for more than $3.8 million will be used to help the village of Bartlett manage stormwater and flooding, according to a news release from U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL).

"This spring's storms and floods are far behind us, but communities like Bartlett are still working to rebuild," Durbin said in the news release. "Today's investment will help them recover and prepare for future extreme weather events."

The almost $4 million grant will fund the construction of the Village of Bartlett Stormwater Management Project. As part of the project, the village is building two stormwater detention basins, a small berm and high capacity inlets to help control flooding.
