Glen Ellyn-Wheaton art group to host program on Jackie Kennedy's White House

The Glen Ellyn Wheaton Community Associates of the Art Institute of Chicago will host an event on former First Lady Jackie Kennedy's restoration of the White House.

The program, entitled “Designing Camelot: Jackie Kennedy’s White House," will be led by art historian, lecturer and teacher Kathleen Cummings at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 11 at Carlisle Banquets, 435 E. Butterfield Road, Lombard. 

Cummings will recount the details of Kennedy's project and its successful conclusion. 

To reserve a spot at the program, both members and non-members should send a check for $12 to: Ruth Scapino, 917 Foxworth Blvd., Lombard IL 60148.

Reservations will be accepted from Aug. 13 through Sept. 3.
