DuPage County Health Department offers screenings at back to school fair

VILLA PARK – Local children will have access to dental and vision screenings during the annual Back to School Fair from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Odeum Sports and Expo Center, 1033 N. Villa Ave., Villa Park.

This fair is sponsored by Catholic Charities, and representatives from the DuPage County Health Department will be at the event providing services and school supplies to eligible families.

Children younger than 19 can receive dental screenings, school dental exams, which are required for students in grades 2 and 6, and vision screenings.

The health department will also have information about other programs and services available for low-income families, and general nutrition and health information.

Parents attending the school fair must bring proof of income, proof of address and identification for their children.
