VILLA PARK – State Rep. Deb Conroy will hold a free, ice cream social that is open to all residents of the 46th District that she represents. The event will run from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at her constituent services office, 28 S. Villa Ave., and is the second ice cream social of the summer.
This event is an opportunity for residents to meet with Conroy, learn about what she's doing in Springfield, ask questions and express concerns. Later this summer, she will be hosting a state services fair, a town hall meeting and advisory committee meetings on veterans' issues and young families' issues.
"The event not only gives residents the opportunity to voice their concerns, but it gives them a reprieve from the hot summer days," Conroy said. Our first meeting was a great success and gave residents the opportunity to share their thoughts on state issues while enjoying a scoop of ice cream."
