Pleasantview Fire Protection District gains nation-wide recognition

WILLOWBROOK – The village of Willowbrook acknowledged that the Pleasantview Fire Protection District has improved its Insurance Services Office (ISO) Public Protection Classification (PPC) from Class 3 to Class 2.

A Class 2 rating places Pleasantview FPD in the top 1.25 percent of all fire departments nation-wide. Pleasantview FPD is among the top 550 departments out of the 47,250 fire departments across the country.

The evaluation reviewed every aspect of Pleasantview FPD’s operation, from its ability to handle and receive emergency calls, available water supply and a review of its operations, including ability to respond to and mitigate all types of emergency incidents.
