Lunch program provides food, fun for seniors

ADDISON – A new senior lunch program will provide authentic Indian cuisine to individuals 60 years and older as well games, dancing and music.

Along with the Vaishnav Samaj of Midwest, the DuPage Senior Citizens Council (DSCC) will hold a grand opening from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. July 31 at Shreejidwar Haveli, 440 W. Fullerton Ave. in Addison. 

Participants are asked to donate $3 or more to the program. Those under 60 must pay $7 per meal. Call Sushila Ray at 630-808-1082 or Moneek Khan at 630-776-7456 to RSVP for the event.

"This new program will be a great new addition to our eight current community dining sites around DuPage County," Executive Director of the DSCC Marylin Krolak said.

The program will be regularly offered every Tuesday from noon to 3 p.m. at Shreejidwar Haveli.
